DURIAN . 24 . PARACOSM ENTHUSIAST
Hey, I'm Durian! I'm a long-time worldbuilder and resident bigender beast. I've been worldbuilding since I was about 5 or 6 (My first project was called "Animal Land", and as silly as it sounds, it really kickedstarted my love for worldbuilding!)
I create my own artwork for my worlds and work as a freelance digital artist specializing in fantasy, anthropomorphism, complex character designs, and bright colors. I identify strongly with werewolves and dragons, and themes of elemental magic and shapeshifting appear frequently in my writing! I also touch a lot on radical self-love and confidence, my experience as a non-dysphoric trans person, hedonism & sexuality, anti-capitalism, and body positivity.
I also write weird music, make fursuits, and am currently teaching myself HTML with the help of some more experienced friends.
I love monsters, niche EDM music, dark chocolate, bara furry art, bubble tea, and seafood. My favorite movie is Watership Down, my favorite anime is Mob Pyscho 100, and my favorite games are Bloodborne, Minecraft, and Spyro the Dragon (All the games, but my favorites are the Legend of Spyro trilogy! The only Spyro games I don't like are the Skylanders games, which I hold an unreasonably strong contempt for.). Themes inspired by my favorite medias will show up in my work often!
I'm also really into fantasy horror, cosmic/eldritch horror, liminal horror, kaiju movies, the SCP foundation, and the concept of the Backrooms as endless various liminal spaces. I have a list of horror movie recs in my Carrd, linked below!
